as a young Italian American, I find it atrocious that MTV
would feed on and exploit a stereotype that erodes the Italian community for the sake of tasteless entertainment.
If MTV were to have hispanics or blacks in a house and called them
‘spics’ or ‘niggers’ there’d be lawsuits all over,but because the ‘guido’ (which IS a fucking slur and don’t tell me any different) lifestyle is constantly joked about in the media, MTV productions felt it was okay to put these neanderthals on television for their 15 seconds.
It also makes all Italians in the NY/NJ area look like self absorbed, juiced, orange, image obsessed idiots with no goals other than clubbing and engaging in promiscuous activities.
I’m thoroughly disgusted that this was put on the air,and is staying a whole season.
